Qualifications:

BSc Hons, University of Wollongong 1975-78.

DipEd, University of Wollongong 1979.

 

Employment:

 

Science Teacher, Department of Education 1980.

Geologist/Senior Geologist, Department of Mineral Resources/Primary Industries, Geological Survey of New South Wales 1980-2006.

Experience:

26 years experience in geology and extremely proficient in the use of computers in the work environment.

Geologically practiced in:

    - regional mapping, mainly in the Cobar-Nymagee region of western New South Wales;

    - industrial minerals, particularly construction materials; 

    - geographic information systems in resource mapping and assessment;

    - land use planning for mineral resources; 

    - geological resource assessment; 

    - database development and maintenance; and,

    - geological project management.

Greg has excellent knowledge of NSW geology and geological data management.
